Earlier this year, NOTO hosted a meeting with outfitters where staff from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (now Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry) outlined significant changes being implemented to moose harvest planning and tag allocation for residents in Ontario. In this session, ministry staff will provide further information on the rationale for these changes, how the changes are being implemented and explain the objectives. Some related topics on moose management and the moose tourism industry program will be discussed.
